MLB Pitcher Uses Wii Fit To Lose Weght

Baseball players have never been known as being the most physically conditioned of professional athletes. Most of their time is just sitting around waiting to bat. When it come to playing the field most of that time is spent standing around waiting to make a catch. A relief pitcher, however, spends most of their time just sitting around the bullpen waiting to get called for a few innings worth of work. So it is not a surprise to learn that a baseball player would report having some great results with Nintendo's Wii Fit.

San Diego Padres pitcher Heath Bell, who is a closer, never plays more than a couple of innings per game if at any, decided to spend his off season playing the video games with his kids. Apparently he completely embraced the gamer lifestyle of sedentary gaming and munching on potato chips, because he suddenly found he'd ballooned to 270 pounds.

His wake up call, however, didn't come until he stepped on the Balance Board. If you are
obese, your Mii will appear as being obese. Bell stated that he was disappointed that he let himself get that big.

Bell trimmed off 25 pounds of body fat. He showed up to spring training as a lean mean pitching machine. Bell credits his reduction in body fat to his Wii Fit workouts and cleaning up his diet. This is a great testimonial for Wii Fit and healthy living.
